Holistic mental health care—including psychiatric services, therapy, and tools for daily life.

“Outside of my work, I stay grounded through movement—whether it’s swimming, yoga, or dancing to a great playlist. I also love spending time with my family, friends, and my dogs, who always keep life interesting. I know firsthand how important it is to find balance, and I bring that same understanding and energy into my work with clients.”

Hi, I’m Dr Jen Jennings,

I’m a board-certified, doctorally prepared psychiatric nurse practitioner with more than a decade experience in advanced practice. I specialize in women’s mental health across the lifespan—from premenstrual and reproductive challenges like PMDD and postpartum mood disorders to the transitions of perimenopause and beyond.

My practice is rooted in the belief that no single approach fits everyone. I offer personalized, evidence-based care that integrates medication management, therapy, and complementary strategies. This may include supplements, dietary and lifestyle modifications, lab work, and genetic testing—tailored to your unique needs and preferences.

Before opening my private practice on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, I spent nine years providing care to graduate and undergraduate students at NYU’s Student Health Center, where I worked across the Integrative Medicine, Gender and Sexuality, and Psychiatry teams and co-led the Trauma Team. I’ve also worked in inpatient psychiatry and volunteered internationally with Doctors Without Borders. In addition to my clinical work, I held faculty appointments at Columbia University and NYU, where I teach psychopharmacology and supervise future nurse practitioners.

My goal is simple: I want you to leave each session feeling more grounded, more understood, and more empowered. Whether we focus on relaxation techniques, trauma processing through EMDR, or practical strategies for sleep, nutrition, and stress, our work is guided by curiosity, respect, and collaboration. When appropriate, I may also recommend integrative therapies such as acupuncture, yoga, or osteopathic care through trusted referrals.

Mental health is not one-dimensional, and neither are you. I’m here to help you explore what healing looks like for you—with clarity, care, and the clinical expertise to guide the way.

“I’ve seen a few mental health providers over the years, and I can honestly say working with Dr Jennings has been one of my best experiences. She is a good listener— she actually hears what you’re saying—and explains things in a way that makes sense without being overwhelming. I’ve always felt supported, never judged, and I appreciate how thoughtful and kind she is in every session. You can tell she genuinely cares and knows her stuff.”
